Our trip south has begun. Dawn, my wonderful travel buddy, and I boarded a train at BWI train station and headed to Union Station, Washington DC. We now are sitting on the 19 Cresent waiting for departure. This should be an interesting trip going from Washington DC to Birmingham Alabama, a place that played a crucial part in Jim Crow laws and the civil rights movement. More to come.
